Happy Friday, Friends! Here’s 5 things that made my week a little brighter!
1. My NEW Nesco Dehydrator!
Oh. My. Word. I love this thing. It might be my favorite Christmas present. Without a lot of effort, we have made the most DELICIOUS gluten-free jerkey, kale chips that are 10,000 times better than oven-made kale chips, pineapple rings, kiwi chips and banana chips. If you live a Paleo lifestyle, this is a great investment that will save you a bundle!
2. Lauren, owner of Mama Moonlights Graphic Design
Lauren is a busy momma and self-proclaimed night-owl who designs adorable party printables, digital art, invitations and more. She created this sweet Curious George invite for Ada’s 2nd birthday party, which saved me a ton of time and frustration because I’m graphically-challenged. Check out her Etsy shop here!
3. My NEW glasses with the anti-glare coating…
With as many hours as I’ve spent staring at the computer as I try to finish Come Home, My Darling, these babies have been a blessing! Thanks, Dr. Schutte!
4. EVERYTHING about this essay…
Especially this passage:
“You are in the trenches when you have a baby. To the untrained eye it seems pretty straightforward and easy — you feed them, you bathe them, you pick them up when they cry — but it’s more than that. It’s perpetual motion with a generous layer of guilt and self-doubt spread on top, and that takes its toll.”
5. I-Flys
Alright, sappy momma alert. Ada loves, loves, LOVES the Tinker Belle movies on Netflix and she calls the fairies “I-Flys.” I don’t know where she came up with that but she’s always making up words (my personal favorite is her word for butterflies, which is “Fancy-Flies.”) Here is a video I shot for her daddy, who went back to work this week after a long Christmas break and was suffering from Ada-withdrawal. I apologize in advance that I’m breathing like a horse but I’ve had a wicked cold this week. Just try to focus on the cute instead.
What did you love about this week?

Amanda,
You are one hot mama with those glasses.
