No-Slip Jammies & An Update

Happy New Year, Friends!

I know I've been pretty quiet over here since Bitsy was born but 2012 is going to bring a lot of changes to this little blog. I hope you'll be patient with me as I work through some details because I promise, come February, there will be a lot of exciting things happening here at A Lovely Place to Land! Intrigued? You should be!

Over the next few weeks, I will do my very best to post once a week as I work to finish my book, Kentucky A to Z, which is due at the end of the month. If you're new to the blog, you can read about my adventures for the "Kentucky A to Z" series here.

Now, this project is about as basic as they come but if you've got little bitties running around, you'll appreciate it's simplicity. Ada started walking a few weeks ago, which has been a wonderful adventure for us all. She's so fun to watch and though we get a big kick out of it, she gets really mad wearing footed pajamas because she slips across the kitchen floor. I was watching her, slipping as she tried to play with her letter magnets on the refrigerator door, when the solution hit me...

 You'll need:
-Puffy Paint
-Baby Shoes
-Footed-Pajamas

1. Put the baby shoes inside the feet of the pajamas. This gives you a nice surface to paint on.
2. Paint, paint, paint. I did hearts but something as simple as polka dots would work.
3. Allow the paint to dry.

And then you'll have sweet little feet that won't slip on the kitchen floor!
